"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."     -Mark Twain

We escaped our dreary, winter weather with a quick getaway to SE Asia for a few weeks, soaking up the lovely sunshine with intermittent periods of downpour. Our travels took us from Saigon to Singapore, where we embarked on a 14 night cruise hopping around Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. It was a brilliant getaway as we took advantage of every opportunity to load up on our favorite Asian dishes, imbibe far too many cocktails, and squeeze in a couple of new sights. It is always a challenge traveling with family, but surprisingly, we didn't run into half as many issues as we had anticipated. Some of the ports of call on our itinerary included Singapore, Langkawi, Penang (Georgetown), Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Malacca, Kuantan, Laem Chabang (Pattaya), and Ko Samui. Our next vacation will be a trip through the Panama Canal! Can't wait...
